Anti-eIF2α, total Antibody

eIF2α is is ubiquitously expressed in many cell types and is one of the key molecules in the initiation of translation.  Phosphorylation of eIF2α at serine 52  blocks the GDP-GTP exchange activity of eIF2β, resulting in the suppression of protein synthesis.
